Principal’s welcome

Hello everyone,

Thankyou for taking the time to research into Esk State School.  We trust that this website will assist you in getting to know how the school operates, and gives you a glimpse into the 'way of doing business' that makes the unique culture of a school.

While there are commonalities between all schools, there are also things that set them apart.  Obviously for Esk, one such element is being a rural school.  Rural schools really are a viable choice for educating your child.  Rural schools provide not only the same curriculum, and similar opportunities of our counterparts, but they also support the local township, and provide a secure environment in which your child can grow, learn and mature alongside their friends and family in a authentic caring community.

Our staff have chosen to live in a rural environment and many are long term residents of the area.  They are strongly invested, forward focused, dedicated professionals who work hard to maintain their own learning and pedagogical currency. What's more, they deeply appreciate working with parents to build the strongest educational foundation for your child.

All students are welcomed to Esk State School.  We have students who need learning extension, just as we have students who have additional support. It doesn't matter.  At Esk, we focus on teaching individuals and have become very skilled at catering for diverse learners and using inclusive practices.

A conversation is welcomed if you would like to find out more.

Mrs Roslyn Waldron (Principal)
